Lew Shore founded his practice in 1974, and serves as a Principal of Shore Morgan Young. With over 45 years of experience in the industry, Lew's prevailing techniques in financial planning assist SMY’s clients in moving toward the results they desire. Lew has built a leading team of specialists with experience in a number of financial planning disciplines.

Lew received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ohio University, and has been involved in many professional and community organizations throughout his career. Lew enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Donna, and their son, Spencer.

Jon Morgan started his practice in 1989. He partnered with Lew Shore to form Shore Morgan Financial Advisors in 1995. With over 30 years financial experience and his Series 7 and 63 registrations, Jon’s passion is to help individuals and business owners work toward their strategic financial planning goals. Today, as a Principal of Shore Morgan Young, he continues to use his in-depth knowledge and experience to help create appropriate strategies for his clients and oversee a multi-disciplinary team of financial planning professionals.

Jon received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University, and is active in many community organizations. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Marya Young came to the firm in 2002, with over 20 years experience in the financial services industry.  She became partner in 2004, creating Shore Morgan Young, LLC.  Her work in private banking provides Mrs. Young with an extensive knowledge in wealth management, mortgages, and other financial services.  As a Principal at Shore Morgan Young, Marya has a strong passion for assisting clients with achieving their overall financial goals.

In addition to her education at The Ohio State University, Marya has served on many professional and community boards, and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations.

As the Chief Compliance Officer and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Adam leads the Compliance Department of Private Wealth Strategies, L.L.C. in developing, implementing, and monitoring the firm's policies and procedures as well as training staff on these various policies and procedures.  

He also is an integral member of the Financial Planning Team who assists clients by helping create, present, implement, and monitor their comprehensive financial plans. He became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner in 2020. He also holds his Series 7 FINRA General Securities registration, his Series 66 FINRA designation, and his Ohio Life, Accident and Health Insurance License.

Adam joined Shore Morgan Young in 2017. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with his loved ones and pets (our firm's Chief Morale Officer), anything involving the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and is an avid road cyclist. Adam is on the board of several professional organizations such as The New Albany Young Professionals organization and the Financial Planning Association of Central Ohio as the Government Relations Chair.

Elyse is the Executive Assistant for Shore Morgan Young.  Along with maintaining the Executives and staff calendar, she coordinates the Financial Reviews, welcomes all Clients and Guests and handles the daily office administration.  She had worked at two major brokerage firms before “pausing” her career to raise her family.  Elyse joined Shore Morgan Young in 2011.

She and her husband Chris have three children, one out and two still in college, but they have heard a rumor that a day will come where they no longer need to give away their money to something called the “University of…”  They look forward to that.

Mikel joined Shore Morgan Young in 2017. He graduated from Ohio University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Minor in Digital Storytelling and Screenwriting. In his spare time, Mikel enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exercising, writing, and going to concerts.

As Director of Investments and Client Services, Garin is responsible for assisting with creating portfolio reviews, performing research and investment analysis, trading securities for our registered investment advisory firm, Private Wealth Strategies, L.L.C., and heading the client servicing team. He holds his Ohio Life, Accident and Health Insurance License.

Garin first joined the Shore Morgan Young team in 2014 after graduating from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a degree in Financial Economics. He rejoined the team in 2022 after gaining further experience in the alternative investments space related to volatility trading and systems. In his spare time he enjoys basketball, camping, music/concerts and spending time with his wife Rachael and two children, Oliver and Sloane, and their dog Gus.

As a Client Service Specialist, Nicholas is responsible for account management, client onboarding, assisting with client inquires, facilitating funds transfers, and collaborating with our clients’ insurance companies. He currently holds his Ohio Life, Accident and Health Insurance License and is pursuing his FINRA Series 7 registration.

Nicholas joined Shore Morgan Young in 2021. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology, majoring in Consumer and Family Financial Services, and a minor in General Business. Nicholas earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America organization and enjoys the company of his close friends and family. In his free time, his hobbies include improving his cooking abilities and spending time in the outdoors hunting, hiking and camping.
